We are seeking  Executive Sous Chef at 1050 Paignton House Road, Minett, ON P0B 1G0, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Oversee daily culinary operations across multiple resort dining outlets, banquet functions, and seasonal food service venues in coordination with the Executive Chef.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations and consistent food quality.
  • Plan and develop menus, daily features, and seasonal offerings in accordance with Marriott standards and guest preferences.
  • Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation to maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety standards.
  • Manage food inventory, purchasing, receiving, and storage procedures while minimizing waste and controlling food costs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, WHMIS, and occupational health and safety regulations in all kitchen areas.
  • Coordinate food production and service for conferences, weddings, private events, and high-volume resort functions.
  • Assist in daily kitchen planning and staff coordination to ensure efficient food production and service operations.

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary school or equivalent

Language: English

Experience: 5 years of executive-level kitchen management experience in the food service industry.

 

Annual Salary: 80k to 85k CAD for 30 hours to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
