SILVER SPOON TAKE OUT AND CATERING URGENTLY HIRING: 2 CURRY & TANDOORI COOKS

Silver Spoon Take Out and Catering 4099 Erin Mills Parkway Mississauga L5L 3P9 Ontario a busy and well‑known South Asian food establishment serving high‑quality, freshly prepared curries, biryanis, tandoori specialties, etc. We require 2 experienced Curry & Tandoori Cooks to continue to maintain and support our growing operations. You will be responsible for preparing authentic South Asian dishes, operating the tandoor, maintaining food quality, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. You must have strong experience with traditional curry preparation and tandoori cooking techniques and a good knowledge of how to prepare traditional spices and marinades.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and execute curry and tandoori menu items in accordance with the establishment’s culinary style, recipes, and quality standards.
  • Prepare a full range of traditional curries, including meat, fish, poultry and vegetarian specialty dishes.

·        Prepare tandoori items such as marinated meats, kebabs, naans, rotis, and other tandoor‑based items

·        Portion, arrange, and garnish dishes to ensure consistent presentation.

·        Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including tandoor ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances.

·        Monitor inventory levels, track food supplies, and assist in estimating daily and weekly food requirements.

·        Oversee kitchen operations during assigned shifts and provide direction to kitchen helpers and support staff.

·        Maintain strict standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety throughout the kitchen and work areas.

·        Review existing menu items regularly and recommend improvements to enhance taste, quality, and efficiency.

Wage: $36.06 per hour for 35-40 hours per week. Must be available to work in shifts & on weekends.

 

Job type: Permanent, full-time.

 

Experience: 2-3 years

 

Overtime: 1.5 times the wage after 44 hours per week.

 

Language requirement: English

 

Education: Secondary schooling
