Position Overview: APCON Construction Group of Companies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee daily construction and renovation activities. The supervisor will coordinate workers, monitor project progress, maintain safety standards, and ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and project deadlines.
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities
Tasks
· Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of construction workers and subcontractors.
· Assign duties and prepare work schedules for construction crews.
· Review construction drawings, plans, and project specifications.
· Monitor the quality and progress of construction work.
· Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within established timelines.
· Inspect work areas and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
· Arrange materials, equipment, tools, and supplies required at job sites.
· Coordinate activities with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
· Identify construction problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
· Maintain daily records of labour, materials, project progress, and site activities.
· Train workers in job duties, workplace safety procedures, and company policies.
· Ensure workers properly use personal protective equipment and construction tools.
· Prepare progress reports and provide updates to company management.
· Recommend staffing requirements and assist with hiring construction workers when required.
