Parts Service Manager

 

We are looking for a well experienced Parts Service Manager for “Thornhill Hyundai” located at 7200 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L4J 1V8, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, organize and manage the daily operations of the dealership’s automotive parts department.
  • Manage parts department staff, assign duties, establish schedules, provide training and evaluate performance.
  • Determine the automotive parts and accessories to be stocked based on repair requirements, customer demand and inventory movement.
  • Oversee the ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of parts to service technicians, retail customers and wholesale clients.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and control excess, obsolete, damaged and slow-moving parts.
  • Source parts from Hyundai Canada and approved suppliers, negotiate purchasing terms and monitor supplier performance.
  • Establish departmental procedures for pricing, discounts, special orders, returns, warranty parts and customer service.
  • Prepare and manage the parts department budget and monitor sales, gross profit, expenses and inventory turnover.
  • Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to ensure parts are available for scheduled repairs, warranty work and emergency requirements.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns, parts shortages, backorders, pricing discrepancies and supplier issues.
  • Develop strategies to improve parts availability, departmental sales, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements and workplace health and safety standards

Prerequisites:

Education: College diploma in Business Administration, Automotive Management, Automotive Service Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

 

Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience

Language: English

 

Hourly Rate: $43.50 to $45.00 per Hour for 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
