Key Responsibilities
· Provide consistent, loving, and attentive care to support the infant’s comfort, well‑being, and growth.
· Maintain a safe and organized environment, ensuring all daily activities take place in clean, child‑friendly spaces.
· Support daily routines, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and nap schedules, while following the family’s preferred methods.
· Engage the infant in age‑appropriate developmental activities, such as tummy time, singing, and gentle sensory play.
· Prepare, clean, and sanitize bottles and feeding supplies
· Monitor the infant’s health and behavior, communicating any changes to parents.
· Uphold safe sleep practices and maintain attentive supervision at all times.
· Assume full responsibility for the child’s wellbeing in the absence of parents
· Perform light housekeeping duties.
Schedule & Compensation
- Competitive pay: $21/hour
- Full-time, permanent employment for 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday with some flexibility.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1-2 years experience caring for infants or young children
- Completion of secondary schooling
- Additional training in childcare or a related field will be an asset.
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Eligible to work in Ontario
- Strong verifiable references required
