We are seeking  a COOK at 1050 Paignton House Road, Minett, ON P0B 1G0, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes according to established recipes and portion standards.
  • Prepare a variety of menu items including pastas, pizzas, grilled meats, seafood, soups, sauces, salads, and desserts.
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented in a timely and consistent manner in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Maintain quality, taste, portion control, and presentation standards while following kitchen procedures and recipes.
  • Assist with food preparation for daily service, banquets, catering functions, and seasonal menu offerings.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with proper storage and stock rotation.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas in accordance with sanitation and safety standards.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations while handling and storing food products.
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic preparation tasks and support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary school or equivalent

Language: English

Experience: 5 years or more of experience in kitchen  food preparation, or a related food service environment

Hourly Salary: $22 to $24 for 30 hours to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
