Responsibilities

Tasks

·         Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine glass installation requirements.

·         Measure, cut, fit, and install glass, mirrors, windows, doors, and other glass products.

·         Install aluminum framing systems, storefronts, curtain walls, and related hardware.

·         Remove and replace broken or damaged glass and perform repair work.

·         Apply sealants, gaskets, and glazing compounds to ensure weatherproof and secure installations.

·         Assemble and install prefabricated glass and mirror products.

·         Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain a clean work area.

·         Inspect completed installations to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

·         Erect and dismantle scaffolding or work platforms as required.

·         Follow workplace safety procedures and train or assist junior workers when required.
